We publish a Transparency Report for every reservation wave, disclosing registry activity, examination outcomes, and the number of government and private requests SuperFile receives.

Government and private entities are required to follow applicable laws and statutes when requesting registrant information and data from SuperFile.

Definitions

Government Request
A request from a government agency, court, or law-enforcement body for registrant information, made under applicable legal process.
Civil / Private Party Request
A request arising from private litigation, such as a subpoena issued in a civil case, including trademark disputes.
Law-Enforcement Emergency
A request made under emergency-disclosure procedures where there is an imminent risk of serious physical injury or death.
Account Preservation
A request to preserve registrant data pending the issue of formal legal process.
Hold
A free reservation in the SuperFile Registry, honored in order of receipt. A hold is not a grant of ownership.
Institution
A registration class for governments, public agencies, and military bodies. Claims must be placed with an official .gov or .mil email address and are examined before grant.
Examination
Human review of a Brand-class claim against evidence of trademark rights before a name is granted.
