Frequently Asked Questions

What is a SuperFile Account?

Your SuperFile Account is the personal account you use to access the registry, your dashboard, Settings, the Store, and the Community. One account gives you a consistent identity — your @name — and files issued as .yourname wherever they travel.

Is there a password?

No. SuperFile is passwordless: we email you a sign-in link that works for 7 days, and after your first sign-in you can add passkeys in Settings. A passkey uses your face or fingerprint and is bound to your device — nothing to remember, nothing to phish.

What is a passkey and how do I add one?

A passkey is a hardware-bound credential stored on your device. Sign in once with your email link, open Settings → Sign-in & Security, and choose Add a passkey. From then on, the Sign in with Passkey button signs you in directly.

I manage the registry or the Store — do I need a separate sign-in?

No. One sign-in unlocks everything your email has access to. If your address is on store staff or is the registry administrator, your email link and passkey sign-in open those consoles too — they appear in your dashboard account bar.

How is my data handled?

Your account information is used to sign you in securely and to operate the registry. We record certain data for security, examination, and reporting purposes — published in aggregate in our Transparency Report — and we never sell registrant data or use it for marketing without your consent. See the Privacy Policy.

What does the $0 card check do?

It proves personhood before a name is granted. The authorization is never charged and card numbers are never stored in full — your account keeps only the brand and last four digits.

Can I delete my SuperFile Account?

Yes — email go@superfile.com from your account address and we remove your profile, passkeys, and any unverified holds. Registered names follow the release policy in the Terms of Use.
