Zero Trust File Encryption™ is the technology under everything we ship: any file, sealed so that every copy — on any machine, anywhere, forever — still has to ask its owner before it opens.
A file becomes a .pdfs: its contents encrypted on the owner's device before anything leaves it. The seal is not an envelope around the file — it is the file. There is no unsealed original travelling beside it.
The key is divided. No single party — not the recipient, not a platform, not SuperFile — holds enough of it to open the file alone. A system you must trust is a system that will eventually be betrayed; the split is how trusting us stays unnecessary.
Every seal binds to a name in the public register — examined, recorded, permanent. That binding is what makes "this file answers to its owner" a checkable fact rather than a claim.
Opening a copy is a request to the owner's authority, wherever the copy sits — mail, drive, USB stick, someone else's laptop. Grant it, and the open lands in the record. Don't, and the file stays dark.
Every access, immutably: who, when, where. Exportable and strong enough for a regulator or a court. Security that asks to be believed is marketing; security that can be audited is infrastructure.
Revocation is a first-class operation, not a support ticket. One press, and every copy everywhere — including the downloaded ones — stops opening. Unshare is final by design.
Platforms protect files while the files stay home. The moment one leaves — and the whole point of a file is to leave — platform protection ends at the door. So the protection had to live in the format itself. A .pdfs is an ordinary file to every system that carries it: it can be emailed, synced, copied, archived, forgotten on a drive for a decade. It simply cannot be opened without asking. Carriers carry; only owners grant.
This is also the honest limit: sealing is a choice made before sending. A file that left unsealed, yesterday or years ago, is already beyond anyone's reach — ours included. We can end the surrender going forward. Nothing ends it backward. Anyone who claims otherwise is selling something.
Carriers carry. Only owners grant.
